Whenever workstation computers try to access the company file stored on our host computer, we get a message indicating that <strong data-path-to-node="2" data-index-in-node="192">QuickBooks Hosting Mode is Off or that multi-user access isn't properly host-enabled.

<p data-path-to-node="3">After doing some troubleshooting, here are the main steps that helped us resolve the issue:

Ensure it says <strong data-path-to-node="4,0,1,0,0" data-index-in-node="82">"Host Multi-User Access" (meaning hosting is currently OFF on the workstation, which is correct). If it says "Stop Hosting Multi-User Access," click it to disable hosting on that workstation.

Ensure both services are set to <strong data-path-to-node="4,2,1,0,0" data-index-in-node="157">Automatic and currently running.
