How to Unlock Skovos Sojourner in U4N Diablo 4 After the Exploration Bug (3 อ่าน)

Exploring every corner of Skovos should normally be a straightforward completion task, but a technical issue has made the Skovos Sojourner achievement unusually frustrating. Players who completed the map before the requirement was corrected can find themselves stuck at 65/65 with no achievement notification. If you're trying to finish your collection of rewards, it is worth knowing how Diablo 4 Gold fits into your wider progression, but this particular problem is tied to exploration tracking rather than character power or equipment.
Why the Skovos Achievement Became Stuck
The problem began with the original version of the achievement. When it was first introduced with the Lord of Hatred expansion, the game required players to discover 67 Skovos areas. However, the actual map contained only 65 valid areas. As a result, many players reached 65/67 and could not progress any further.
A later patch corrected the requirement to 65/65, which looks like a complete solution at first glance. Unfortunately, the adjustment did not properly account for players who had already explored the entire region before the change. The achievement appears to depend on the moment when the exploration counter increases from 64/65 to 65/65.
Why 65/65 May Still Not Unlock It
The important detail is that the fix was not retroactive. If your character had already discovered all 65 areas before the patch, the game did not necessarily register a new exploration event after the requirement changed.
In practical terms, the system sees the map as fully explored, but it never receives the specific progression event needed to trigger the achievement. This creates the unusual situation where your map displays 65/65 while the corresponding trophy or achievement remains locked.
This issue can affect players across different platforms, including Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. Rechecking already discovered locations on the same character generally does not recreate the missing progression event.
A Useful Way to Recreate the Final Exploration Step
One temporary workaround is to use a separate exploration progression track. Exploration and Renown progress can be isolated between Softcore and Hardcore characters, allowing players to repeat the discovery process instead of relying on an already completed map.
If your original exploration was completed in Softcore, create a new Eternal Hardcore character and begin revealing Skovos again. The objective is not to rush through the entire region without a plan. Instead, gradually uncover areas until the counter reaches 64/65.
At that point, stop and identify the final unexplored location. The achievement should have a chance to trigger when the game registers the final transition from 64/65 to 65/65.
Where the Last Area May Be Hiding
The final location can vary depending on how the map was uncovered, but some players have reported missing areas around special or progression-gated locations.
One notable possibility is the Pools of Creation, located north of Atanos Island. Access to this area can be connected to campaign progression, so it may not be immediately available to a newly created character. You may need to advance through the story before the relevant section becomes accessible.
Another possibility is an area near the highest-tier Capstone Dungeon. If your counter remains at 64/65 after exploring the more obvious sections of Skovos, check locations surrounding late-game content rather than repeatedly revisiting ordinary roads and landmarks.
What to Do When the Counter Reaches 65/65
Once you have reached 64/65, approach the remaining unexplored section carefully. The goal is to make the game register a fresh discovery event. When the counter changes to 65/65, wait briefly for the achievement system to respond instead of immediately leaving the area.
If the workaround functions as intended, the Skovos Sojourner achievement should unlock normally. You can then continue playing without needing to repeat the entire process on your main character.
Keep This Workaround in Mind
This method should be treated as a temporary workaround rather than a guaranteed permanent fix. The underlying problem is related to how the achievement checks historical exploration data, so only an official update that properly handles previously completed progress can fully resolve the issue for every affected account.
For players who are still waiting for that correction, recreating the 64-to-65 exploration transition on a separate Hardcore progression track is currently the most practical approach described by the community. Those looking for D4 Gold for sale should also keep in mind that currency purchases do not affect this achievement, since the issue is entirely connected to map exploration and achievement tracking.
